Our Most Recent Recorded Earthquake Seismograms

The red letter "P" in the seismogram represents the PRIMARY wave and the "S" is the SECONDARY wave. The difference in time of these waves hitting our sensor is represented along the horizontal axis and is calculated in the top white box (Event Data Box) as Diff:##:##.## minutes. The farther away the quake the longer this period will typically be. The difference between the Org: time and the P: PRIMARY wave reaching our sensor shows how long these waves travel through and around the earth to reach us here in Spring, Texas.
